Baseball Mania

It's that time of year again...baseball, baseball, and some more baseball! Baseball weather in Spokane tends to be unpredictable. Last year we were rushed to shelter when a gigantic thunder and lightening storm hit. So far this year, which has only been a few weeks, we have experienced rain, hail, wind, chilly temperatures and 90 degree weather...what gives? Even though the weather may be unpleasant, I love going to the games as a family and cheering Tyler on.
Tyler is our definite sports fanatic! He loves EVERY single sport out there. We have had to limit him to three sports to focus on. As of now, he is choosing soccer, basketball and baseball. We will see how long that lasts. He desperately wants to play football but I am a chicken of a mother and can't bare watching him get trampled by other kids. I'm just afraid that it is one of those sports that is constantly fighting injuries...so, for now it is a "NO WAY"!!!!
This season in baseball Tyler is on the Red Sox team. They have a great coach and are doing awesome. They blow many of the other teams away. At this level that don't keep score, but boy do those kids keep track of it in their heads. The competitiveness starts at such a early age...and this is one area that Tyler has mastered.
Tyler's favorite positions are pitcher and left field. He has such a fun time out there and really gets into the game. It's cute watching those first graders concentrating and focusing on the game with all their might...of course, until someone needs to go to the bathroom. Why is it that as soon as we are at a location without restrooms that everyone needs to go to the bathroom....including my oldest child...Chris?
We are so glad that he has found his passion in life and enjoys his time out in the field! Life should be simple at his age.
